A group of seven schoolboys from Ohio have been charged with feeding their teachers food containing semen and urine.
The incident took place when the seven boys were all 14 at the time of the incidents but one has since turned 15, according to Buzzfeed.
The charges were filed by a teacher against the boys who belong to the Olentangy Hyatts Middle School in Powell, Ohio. Food from the incident was also sent for testing to make sure that food was indeed contaminated.
During a classroom activity that involved making crepes, the teacher was fed the crepe with semen and was given the contaminated food. One of the boys brought his semen in a plastic bag put it in the crepe.
Another boy who was involved in this incident blocked the teacher’s view while the first boy and two other classmates put the semen in the crepe food. The first boy allegedly offered the crepe to the teacher, who ate it.
According to a complaint by Detective Jaison Kridler from the Sheriff’s Office, four of the boys had been planning days before carrying it out. Reports say, another of the boys also brought his semen to school in a bag but couldn’t use it.
An attorney for four of the accused told BuzzFeed News that he believes his clients are influenced by the Internet.
Brad Koffel said: “I believe this is a form of ‘YouTube flu,’ where kids are influenced by dumb pranks they see YouTube ‘celebrities’ do – it is a game of getting views, clicks, and likes,”
“They are not adults and they are not going to be punished like adults.”
Three boys have been charged with assault on a teacher and four were charged with complicity to assault a teacher. They are class 5 felonies and one was also charged with tampering with evidence for deleting the photos and videos, a class 3 felony.
