Boys Who Couldn’t Arrange A Proper Transportation To Prom Surprised Everyone By Showing Up In A Homemade Toy Story RC Kart

Prom nights are a big deal for high school students since they mark the end of school life.

The traditional night is usually celebrated with fancy clothing, photoshoots, and an iconic limousine ride – which has become a somewhat integral part of the occasion.

However, these boys from Daventry, Northamptonshire, England, couldn’t arrange proper transport for their prom night until just two days before the big event.

So they decided to build a ride instead of hiring or renting one.

Lewis Elkins got the brilliant idea of creating his own ride when one of his neighbors gave him a kart a day before he went to see Toy Story 4.

Though not a big fan of the movie, Lewis got inspiration from it to create a one-of-a-kind entry to the prom night at Parker E-ACT Academy.

The young lad had just a few days to convert the kart into an RC, resembling the one from Toy Story.

He started building his strange ride on Wednesday with the help of his friends Isaac Parkinson, Sammy Lockwood, and Jack Hancock.

All of them continued to work on the kart until just before the prom.

They created the bodywork strong enough to carry the weight of two people and printed Toy Story License plates to tell people what the kart was meant to be (in case someone had trouble understanding).

The boys’ plans of such a magnificent entrance were kept totally secret and the project, according to the leader Lewis, went smooth throughout.

At the time of the event, the RC was moved to the top of a nearby hill from where Lewis and Isaac rode it to the party.

“We decided with three days before prom to do something different after being gifted a go-kart by my neighbor,” Lewis told LADbible.

“The building process went smoothly especially with very little planning and only three days to build. We keep it a secret and when we came down everyone was cheering and recording.”

It was a very nicely pulled-off trick by the boys for sure, but it was not the first time that a unique plan was used for prom transport.

In fact, just this year, four boys from Ashlyns School in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire made a showstopping entry to their prom in a recreation of the car featured in the Inbetweeners, all work done by themselves.

Louis Priggen, Josh Gilbert, Josh Wrathalls, and Brian Sussum, all aged 16, also kept their project shrouded in secrecy till they surprised their friends on the big day.
