High schoolers shoveled their neighbour’s driveway during a previous storm at 4:30 am because the neighbour needed to get to dialysis.
Natalie Blair, who needs a kidney transplant, needed to get to dialysis.
Brothers Brian and Patrick Lanigan live near Natalie Blair.
Brian knew he would be at work during an oncoming winter storm so, he wouldn’t be able to shovel Blair’s driveway.
Brian asked his younger brother, Patrick to shovel Blair’s driveway.
Patrick, a student at Parsippany High School, asked his friends for help and four of his fellow high school seniors: Justin Stanton, Chris Leibfred, Tyler Grieco and Amon Sharafi showed up to shovel the driveway.
They shoveled the snow at 4:30 a.m. in just 30 minutes.
Patrick’s father, Peter Lanigan shared a picture of Patrick and his friends on Twitter and wrote:
‘Snow Angels disguised as PHS Srs, Justin, Pat, Chris, Tyler & Amon got up super early 4:30 (really never slept) to shovel a driveway for a neighbor who needed to get to dialysis’
Blair was so grateful when she came to know about the kind act of the young boys.
“I looked out the front window and I’m like, the whole driveway is clear. And then I found out from my husband there were four of them with Patrick. Oh, there were five of you, seriously?” Blair told WABC-TV.
“When I came out here at 6 a.m., the whole driveway was completely clear so I could get out. And I did. I got to dialysis safely.”
“Patrick’s a wonderful young man. He’s an example of what we have that we never talk about.”
