Back in 2019, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga made headlines for their “Shallow” performance during the Oscars, which sparked romance rumors between the two.
And now, Cooper has finally addressed the rumors between himself and Gaga.
“A Star is Born” fans said that both Cooper and Gaga did a great job on acting and portraying a romance and that their chemistry is undeniably great.
Of course, falling in love in a film does not mean falling in love in real life, but as the two actors grew close through their time on the production many people began to think about whether the feelings extended in real life.
Two years later, Cooper has now explained exactly why they appeared so cozy in front of the microphone.
During the actor’s interview with the Hollywood Reporter, which discussed Gaga’s latest role in House of Gucci, he squashed any hopes of a romantic relationship as he said they were definitely acting during their performance on Shallow.
He didn’t have anything but kind words to say about the talent Gaga brought to “A Star Is Born.”
“Lady Gaga just so terribly charismatic and beautiful,” Cooper said about working with her. “When I met her, I thought, ‘If I can just harness that … then it’s just for me to mess up.”
“But then, when we started working together, I realized, ‘Oh, oh, the sky’s the limit in terms of what she’s able to do and her commitment level.’”
Cooper’s love life is back in the spotlight as he and her ex-Girlfriend Irina Shayk spotted strolling arm-in-arm in New York City sharing their first PDA moment since splitting back in 2019.
Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk began dating in 2015. The two reportedly met through friends and became an item after spending time together.
Bradly welcomed their daughter, Lea De Seine, in March of 2017. He and Shayk called it quits in 2019, around the same time the actor made headlines for his performance with Lady Gaga.
“They were living totally separate lives,” a source told People magazine at the time. “If he was in L.A., she’s out of town, and if she was in town, he was out of town.”
