Photographers risk their lives in a bit to capture once-in-a-lifetime moments, be it the portrait of a ferocious lion or bear, or strange marine animals.
Ken Kiefer II captured a surreal picture while on his winter trip to Bahamian island.
This remarkable picture is of an extreme close-up shot of a smiling shark putting its teeth on display was taken underwater in the Caribbean sea off the Bimini coast.
Other footage showed a courageous man feeding a giant hammerhead by hand and a diver maneuvering a predator away from the camera by its large snout.
The fifty-year-old photographer said that the team looks forward to any occasion to share the waters with the amazing endangered beauties, and is not scared of the idea.
Ken was able to capture the inside of a shark’s mouth and revealed that he had to replace the equipment after taking this picture as it had teeth marks on the camera’s lens.
He said that hammerheads possess 360-degree vision and due to their eye placement, they cannot see a small area in front of their head. So, they may even hit divers while looking for baits.
Ken has been creating underwater photographs for more than twenty years and he explained that he loved taking such pictures as they allowed other people to see how beautiful is the underwater world.
Ken’s motto is capturing anything underwater, so the range can be from predators, maternity, models, big animals to swim teams, as long as the object is under the surface of the water.
Great hammerhead sharks are the largest of hammerhead species and can grow up to twenty feet in length and weigh almost half a ton. They do not actively look for human preys and attack only when provoked.
