The vice president of Brazil called Jair Bolsonaro’s pilot a drug mule after he got arrested in Spain for smuggling narcotics.
The pilot was supporting Bolsonaro’s trip to Japan for his G20 meeting, and that’s when he was caught with 39 kgs of cocaine.
The vice president of Brazil, Hamilton Mourao, said that it doesn’t seem like he just brought the drugs because he was caught with a lot of quantity of cocaine. It looks like the pilot was working as a qualified mule for such things.
It was announced that the Spanish police had arrested someone from the Brazilian Air Force for carrying three bags full of cocaine on a military plane which was flying to Seville.
It was around 39 kgs of cocaine in the bag, and the plane was waiting for its continuous journey to Tokyo.
The Brazilian Air Force said that the man was arrested for drug trafficking as it was clear that he is a qualified drug mule. The suspect has been ordered to stay in Spain till the time the President comes back from his trip.
The President said that he got to know about the arrest by the defence minister and then ordered immediate cooperation with the Spanish police.
The President had plans to have a stopover in Seville, but the updated version of his itinerary had Lisbon as the stopover. The final decision will be taken when the President will come back from his trip.
