Great Thunberg, the teenage climate activist, was labeled as a Little Brat by Jair Bolsonaro, the President of Brazil.
He took a dig at Greta after she voiced his concern over the deforestation of Amazon and the killing of indigenous tribes in the rainforest.
The strongman told the journalists that Great said that Indians died because they were protecting Amazon. He further added that it was impressive that the media was giving so much attention to the brat like that.
He used a Portuguese word for brat “pirralha.” Following this new, the activist tool the comment rather positively, and used the word pirralha in her Twitter profile.
Her comments associated with the killing of indigenous people came when the UN was hosting its international climate change conference, where the environmental policies in Brazil were highly criticized.
In the past 12 months, deforestation in Amazon has seen a 30% increase. In her Twitter, Great wrote that Indigenous people where being killed because they are trying to protect the rainforest from illegal deforestation.
The activist also shares a link on the topic. She further continued that it is shameful that even after so many hear, the world remains silent in this matter.
Moreover, two indigenous people belonging to the Guajajara tribe were killed in a drive-by shooting. They died near the prominent tribesman who died defending the rainforest last month.
At the UN conference, she gave a memorable speech and accused the world leaders of stealing the drams and childhood of kids like her with their empty promises.
In response, Trump mockingly tweeted that Great looks like a happy kid who is looking forward to a wonderfully bright future.
