A pair of sweet Golden Retrievers have been helping their owners, who run a brewery, deliver beer and bring smiles on people’s faces amid lockdown according to CBS.
Karen and Mark Heuwetter from Huntington, New York, have always recognized their dogs, Buddy and Barley, as important members of their Six Harbors Brewing Company.
With bars closed and the ‘brew dogs’ left with no way to entertain people, Karen and Mark decided to start bringing the pooches with them on their beer delivery adventures.
As Karen told CBS, their dogs love joining them on their beer deliveries because they get to bond with their customers.
“When they go out and make people smile, I think people really like that. In fact, people need that these days, so when they put a smile on people’s faces they’re doing their job — which, by nature, is easy for them,” she said.
As the brewery owners explained, Buddy and Barley don’t actually deliver the beer but merely help them entertain customers by greeting them with empty beer cans.
In order for the drinks not to get totally shaken up, the actual beer delivery is done by Mark and Karen.
“You really kind of can’t get close to people other than your own family members. The dogs kind of bring more of a connections for them,” Karen added in an interview with CBS.
Looks like Buddy and Barley are doing a great job at entertaining people during the lockdown.
