For most of her life, 21-year-old Brittany Peck from Ohio felt caught in the middle of two vying men – her father and her stepfather.
She truly adores both her father and stepfather.
She said that sometimes she feels like all she has to do is just ‘pick.’ It all started when Brittany was six and her parents divorced. She was in the middle of an ugly custody battle. It was layers, courts, and what not for little Brittany.
Her father, Todd, is a truck driver and wanted full custody of his daughter and certainly had no interest in sharing her with her new stepdad, Todson.
Both the dad and stepdad tolerated each other; it was the best thing to do for sake of Brittany. Over the years, things did improve slightly; they shared custody of Brittany and came to realize that they both are great fathers.
But the real tension arrived when both the families get together for Brittany’s wedding. Todd, her biological father was to walk Brittany down the aisle but he went to Todson and said that he has as much right to do the rituals as he does.
It was heartwarming. He went to Todson and said ‘you are gonna come and walk our daughter down the aisle.’ This is where Todson breakdown into tears.
Both the dads gave Brittany the wedding she always wanted. Brittany said that both her dads meant the world to her and she can’t think of a life without them in it. It was the happiest moment of her life.
