A small but intimate ceremony at the beach framed by a beautiful sunset. The thought itself is enough to send the heart fluttering at the romantic setting.

However, that’s not the sole reason that Jen’s wedding was so special because she knew it wouldn’t be complete unless her big brother got to sing at her wedding.

It wasn’t just the fact that a loved one would sing because Jen’s brother Jesse Marcus was going to perform even though he had autism.

And that’s one of the things most people misunderstand about people with disabilities. While the way they interact with the world may be impaired, it doesn’t necessarily diminish the depth of feeling that they feel, especially feelings of love that they seek to express in their own little way.

Interestingly enough, Jen’s husband-to-be is also named Jesse but that’s not the only thing that bonded her to him. It’s truly a precious gift to meet the love of your life. But it’s even more precious to find someone who accepts your family as much as he does you. And that’s what ultimately won the 31-year-old Jen over because she said she would only marry someone who could love her brother as much as she did.

With Jen’s brother wearing a tuxedo and shades, he flawlessly sang the song whose lyrics not only touched Jen and the groom but also the 130 guests on that wedding day.

It was truly a night to remember because it not only celebrated the joining of two hearts but also reaffirmed the love that already existed within the family despite Jesse’s disability.
