The Internet is left divided after a bride shared that she was planning to sack her pregnant bridesmaid because she won’t be able to do the job.
The bride shared on the Facebook group ‘That’s It, I’m Wedding Shaming’ and asked whether she should replace her pregnant bridesmaid.
The bride told that her best friend, who was supposed to be her bridesmaid at her wedding, is due to have the baby one month after her wedding.
She told that her best friend didn’t tell her that she was pregnant while the bride’s mother already knew it.
The bride wrote: “I found out through Facebook today and my mum knew about it five weeks ago.”
“I have not talked to said bridesmaid in a month, and I texted her today to congratulate but also voice my frustrations and how hurt I am because she did not tell me. I cannot have kids so i get upset by this easily.”
The bride also revealed that the pregnant bridesmaid didn’t come for dress shopping, lunch, a bonfire with all other bridesmaids.
She expressed her frustration and said she could have picked any other friend but she chose her because she thought she could count on her.
The pregnant bridesmaid has already paid for her dress so the bride asked for advice on whether she should ask her to step down because she can’t do the job.
The post left the Internet divided as some totally supported the bride and advised her to ask her friend to step down.
While some accused her of being insensitive as one user wrote: ‘I found out I was pregnant after my best friend asked me I was maid of honour, helped plan the hen weekend.’
‘My baby was 2weeks 1day when she got married, was having a dress fitting 4 days after giving birth. She should b happy for her friend.’
What do you think about it? Is the bride right for asking her pregnant friend to step down?
