A bride has been widely criticized for her wedding dress after a woman shared pictures of her unconventional gown on Facebook.
According to the social media users who took liberty in commenting on the woman’s photo and criticizing the bride’s decision, the dress resembles a used tampon and isn’t appropriate for a wedding.
Slamming the dress on a Facebook wedding group, one person wrote: “Maybe she knows she’s going to be on her period during the wedding and didn’t want to take any chances ruining the dress.”
“I didn’t see it until I read the caption and now it’s all I can see,” another one said.
“Maybe different lighting and a different angle would help it to look better,” one person suggested.
While people went on to bash the dip dye dress, one person defended the bride’s choice and claimed she really loved the purple base.
The pictures of the unusually colored wedding dress came amid a backlash that Marks and Spencer is facing after releasing a ‘period-stained’ bikini.
The Printed Lace Up Plunge Bikini Set sells for $65 per piece and is advertised as a “stunning way to make an entrance when you head poolside this summer” by the company.
“Featuring a chic ombre print with a placement leaf design on it, they’ll instantly make you feel like grabbing your beach towel, sunglasses and enjoying the sunshine,” the bikini’s description reads.
While people have no problem with the top of the set, its bottom half resembles a period stain despite the designer’s efforts to make it look like a sunset.
“Is it me or should they sack the designer!? Definitely not a look I want to be going for this summer!” one person said of the unfortunate design.
“Haha, why have none of the models or designers noticed! Unless it’s meant to look like that,” another one suggested.
