A bride-to-be has been shamed after posting a picture in which she’s seen wearing two engagement rings on the same hand.
As the unidentified U.S. bride explained in a follow-up social media post, her husband initially proposed to her using a $10 silver ring. He later bought her two more rings and told her to wear both because he couldn’t decide which ring he liked the most.
“We’re not married yet but I have 2 engagement rings cos he couldn’t decide which one he liked best,” the woman wrote.
“He woke me up at lunch time and proposed to me with a $10 sterling silver warehouse ring. Wore it for months before he replaced it with the band and diamond which has a band to go with it.
“A few months later he saw the rose one and brought that too and put it on my finger. When I asked him which one he liked best for my engagement ring he couldn’t decide so I just wear both.”
Soon after the woman’s confession on Facebook, people shared her story on a page called ‘That’s It I’m Ring Shaming: Can’t Stop Won’t Stop’ where commenters couldn’t hold back in slamming the couple.
“He couldn’t decide so I just wear both. If you’re gonna wear two engagement rings at least make them decent????” one person wrote while others suggested it looked like she was engaged to two guys at the same time.
“If you can’t decide which one to wear, the correct answer is always neither!” someone added.
One person suggested: “I get wearing them both but clearly the first one should be worn on a different finger. They look stupid worn together like that.”
