A British farm named Staff Pennywell Farm in Devon has become the first in the world to offer Pig pilates – a new exercise trend where you can do pilates with pigs.

In a field full of pigs, pilates teacher Harry Parkes leads the sessions at the Staff Pennywell Farm in Devon.
He said Pilates has many benefits including improving posture, movement quality, mobility, flexibility, mental cognition, and core strength and touching animals releases hormones inducing phenylethylamine.
Parkes said it will be proved to be beneficial and fun at the same time.
He said: “The advantages of interaction with animals of any kind are widely known and touching animals releases many hormones such as phenylethylamine, the magic hormone which has the same pleasurable effect on the brain as chocolate.”
“The pigs will be free to roam around the participants as they take their class and – with pigs being curious by nature – it should prove to be interesting.”
Owner Chris Murray believes exercise should never be boring or dull and you should have fun while doing this.
Murray said: “Exercise is an important part of life so should never be dull. You can have a real giggle and still have a good workout. Everyone should exercise with a smile on their face and with miniature pigs running around, it’s impossible not to smile.”
The exercise includes 10 minutes of cuddling with the piglets and people are finding it very relaxing.
Parkes said: “The great thing about combining animals and exercise is that it encourages a lot of people to come who might not ordinarily want to exercise.”
“People love the pigs and the pilates together, they’ve never been so close to pigs before and it adds something totally new for them.”
