Britney Spears, 39, has revealed that she is engaged.
The pop star shared the amazing news on Instagram with a video of her showing off her huge diamond engagement ring while her fiancé, 27-year-old Sam Asghari, also beamed with excitement.
“I can’t f***ing believe it!!!” the singer wrote.
This comes after Britney’s father Jamie Spears decided to step down to end the singer’s financial conservatorship but he did not include any timeline for his departure.
Britney and Sam first met in October 2016 when the singer starred with the actor in her Slumber Party video.
The Iran-born star’s manager Brandon Cohen confirmed the incredible news in a statement after the couple shared the announcement on their Instagram pages.
“The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them,” Cohen said, adding that the singer’s engagement ring was designed by NYC jeweler Roman Malayev.
He also said that the Malayev had come up with the ring’s beautiful design.
“He couldn’t be happier to be involved and make this one-of-a-kind ring,” Cohen added.
Spears’ friend Paris Hilton congratulated the couple in the comments section.
“Congratulations love!! So happy for you! Welcome to the club!” the recently engaged heiress wrote.
Hilton’s mother, Kathy Hilton, also congratulated the couple with some heart emojis.
Bachelorette actress Kailtyn Bristowe joked: “I’m going to need 3 – 5 business days to recover from this news.”
Kesha also wrote: “Congratulations!!!!!”
According to Ajay Anand of RareCaret.com, the engagement ring appears to be a ‘modest’ 3.5 carat round cut solitaire, which would be worth around $70,000.
Its four-prong solitaire design meant its favoriting elegance and tradition over flashiness.
