Representative Matt Gaetz has reportedly invited pop star Britney Spears to speak in front of Congress because he feels that she has been mistreated by the country’s legal system.
Local media outlets confirmed how Matt Gaetz as well as 3 other members from the GOP lawmakers system had invited the pop star over to testify regarding her conservatorship battle. The news comes as the lawmakers went about acknowledging the following via a letter that was sent over to the pop icon on Wednesday.
“You have been mistreated by the country’s legal system and we stand by your side. We want to help,” the letter went about mentioning.
The letter was reportedly signed by Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene, Burgess Owens, R-Ohio, R-Ga, as well as Andy Biggs, and R-Ariz too. It went on to state how the country’s Congress should be given a chance to hear your story out and hence should then become inspired with the idea of bipartisan action.
“What happened to you should never ever happen to any other American. The Congress will certainly make things better and you hold the rights to inform our policy decisions,” the letter explained further.
In addition, the letter also ended by stating how if Britney Spears chooses to speak in front of Congress, they are more than ready to hear her out.
Surprisingly, the invitation to the 39-year-old pop sensation came on the exact same day that the Los Angeles Court denied the artist’s plea to remove her father from her multi-million estate.
That is also reportedly a week after Britney gave a bombshell testimony in front of the court, where the pop star spoke very candidly in what is being described as the first time in regards to her 13-year old ordeal.
The star also revealed how she was ultimately forced to take severely high doses of lithium against her wishes while revealing how her team even prevented her from visiting a doctor to remove her IUD device for contraception.
