Sports Broadcaster Held A ‘Business Meeting’ With His Two Dogs And It Quickly Went Viral

A BBC Sports broadcaster who has left with nothing to report as sports have been put on hold has been spending more time with his two adorable Labradors, Mabel and Olive.

46-year-old Andrew Cotter from Cheshire used this opportunity to have a ‘business meeting’ with the pooches and shared the hilarious clip online.

At first, both Olive and Mabel were struggling with the technology as Cotter walked them through turning their cameras on.

“Mabel you are connected but you need to start your video. Down at the bottom of the screen, there’s a little camera, looks like a biscuit, if you just nudge it with your nose,” Cotter says in the video.

He also tells the Labradors that they won’t be furloughed and the pooches are expected to show the same loyalty. But then Mabel started to stare into the distance and Cotter knew they had to discuss her lack of focus.

“This is one of the things that we have to address,” Cotter said, “the lack of focus at times because well there’s the inappropriate stuff with Kevin the Doberman from accounts as well but one thing at a time.”

And for the annual report, Cotter said: “You’ve pretty much ruined the sofas. 913 squirrels chased, none caught, so not a good return.”

But the ‘dull report’ seems to bore Mabel who turns away and starts scratching her body. Cotter tells her to turn her camera off so they don’t have to see what she’s doing.

He then tells Olive “you’re a good dog, yes you are. Who’s a good dog? You’re a good dog.”

As the video comes to an end, Mabel hangs up on Cotter, who considers firing the cheeky pooch but doesn’t as “she gets such good results.”

One Twitter user commented: “Andrew, Olive and Mabel…and you a bit…have easily been the best thing to come out of lockdown. Genuinely, thank you.”

Another wrote: “Andrew, you’re brightening up my life and it was already pretty good anyway! Keep em coming!”

A third added: “Brilliant, those dogs both deserve “who’s a good dog, then, you’re a good dog” awards.”
