23-year-old Billy Anders and his 25-year-old brother Charlie have built a backyard ‘pub garden’ amid coronavirus lockdown.
Billy and Charlie are staying at their home in Buckinghamshire amid lockdown with their 45-year-old mother Chris and younger siblings.
The duo spent nine days to build a backyard ‘pub garden’ called ‘The Lock Inn’ as they were missing going to the pub amid lockdown.
Billy told that his mother was planning to build a patio in the garden this summer but she couldn’t find workmen due to coronavirus lockdown so they decided to build a ‘pub garden’ that cost less than £250.
Billy said: “We started ‘The Lock Inn’ on March 27 and finished it on April 4, just in time for the nice weather. Altogether, it cost less than £250- including two benches that Mum had already sourced for her original patio plan.”
The barked seating area is 81 square meters and has pub benches, a music system, a BBQ area, an 18ft swimming pool, a trampoline and children’s games like Jumbo Jenga and Jumbo Dominoes.
He said they couldn’t build an actual bar but drinks are still available at ‘The Lock Inn’.
Billy worked in retail while Charlie was a gardener before they were out of work due to the coronavirus crisis.
The duo alone built the incredible ‘pub garden’ and has been using it since it was completed. They even had an Easter egg hunt and a BBQ at ‘The Lock Inn’.
Billy said: “We’ve had an Easter egg hunt and a BBQ – and will continue to enjoy it as long as the weather holds out.”
The ‘pub garden’ cost them less than £250 and the duo is happy it turned out great and everyone is loving and enjoying it.
They are planning to use it even after the lockdown ends as they want to have a big get-together for family and friends when this is all over.
