Netflix has now released a movie, named El Camino, based on the hit series.

When the news of the movie first emerged, fans were having a hard time figuring out what to expect from it. The movie did see Walter White coming back, but not in the way fans had speculated.

Walter appeared just in a flashback sequence in the part of a plot set in season two’s episode 4 Days Out.

For this brief cameo, the actor didn’t shave his head unlike when he played Walter in the series. According to some reports, Cranston ‘didn’t have time’ to do so as he was also picturing a Broadway play at the same time.

Walter instead wore a bald cap, and said that it ‘didn’t feel weird.’ He told Rolling Stone: “As a matter of fact, when we put the bald cap on and glued on the facial hair, it was like, ‘Wow.’

“I look in the mirror, and it’s so helpful as an actor to say, ‘This is what I’m presenting.’

“This look represented so much to me back then, and it just transports you to that time and your ability to drop into that character.”

Cranston further revealed how his production team jumped through hoops so that his appearance remains quiet.

He added that he and his wife were flown in a private jet and were chauffeur driven to an Airbnb in Albuquerque, just like a ‘Witness Protection situation.’

Cranston filmed his part of the movie in just two days.

When asked if the movie wrapped up the show’s original story in a good way, Cranston said: “This is a good ending. Don’t try to put two cherries on the top of a sundae. So, I look at it that way.”

“We had the most perfect beginning, middle and end to the story of Breaking Bad,” he told Rolling Stone.
