We have been spending time in stores and malls, selecting items from food, hygiene products, to clothes, toys, and gifts.
However, many of us are not paying attention to our bags or purses while we shop. This leaves our wallets and other essential things open to thieves.
PixabayOne woman who was shopping for groceries was carrying a large purse inside the store. The place was crowded, and she realized someone could easily take her bag if she looked away. She didn’t want to carry her bag on her shoulder, so she thought of snapping the kid’s seat belt around her bag’s strap to make it secure.
Many women already know this trick, and now even the local police urge women to do this while shopping.

A holiday shopping tip for women.
PixabayWhen using a shopping cart as you browse through the store, keep your purse zipped or closed and secure it to the cart by clipping the child safety belt through the strap(s).
This will help in preventing someone from taking advantage of your distraction and running off with the purse.
For those carts that don’t have the child strap, keep an inexpensive carabiner clip attached to your purse strap.
Simply clip the carabiner to the cart and your purse is more secure. HAPPY SHOPPING!

Another one commented, “Great idea. Thanks for posting.”
One woman also said, “I always do this. Then pile some purchases on top to conceal it. But I never let it out of my sight.”
