The couple landed the jackpot by matching all the five numbers and both of the Lucky Stars in the lucky draw which was held on November 19, 2019.

However, even after winning a huge sum and enjoying life as a multimillionaire, Steve has decided to keep working as a builder.

Steve, who lives in Selsey, West Sussex, said: “I am not sure I even looked at the first two lines, the third one just jumped out and I could instantly tell they all matched.

“I started shaking a lot. I knew it was a really big win but didn’t know what to do.

“I went out to my van, walked back in, thought about knocking on a neighbor’s door, went back to the van – I think I was on the verge of having a heart attack.”

Speaking on what he plans to do after hitting the jackpot, the dad-of-three said: “I would have got all my jobs done by Christmas if this hadn’t happened!

“Once I am over the shock I will need to keep doing something, I am not the type just to sit still. My business partner knows that if he needs a hand I’ll be there.”

Steve said he might quit his job after some time, but for now, he is focusing on moving to a better house.

Steve and his wife decided to tell their relatives about the jackpot right away but it took them some days to make it known to the general public.

Steve added: “It would be so difficult to live a lie and not tell anyone about the win, especially with the fact we can both stop working and move house.”

Lenka first thought they’d win £105,000($135,000) which she thought would be nice, but the amount they actually won was far greater than that.

Lenka is now planning to go to Slovakia to visit her family.

She said: “Not only can I treat my family and see them more often, but we can also look to have other holidays, perhaps somewhere hot with a beach.”

The kids, however, want to live like millionaires, with the eldest demanding his own room, his younger brother asking for a Tesla, and their sister hoping to get a new pink iPhone.
