A bus driver has hit the headlines after spotting two lost dogs and taking them onto her bus in order to help them get reunited with their family.
The incident occurred in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where Jamie Grabowski was just finishing her shift when she spotted two scared dogs acting frantically at the side of the road.
After stopping the bus to see what’s going on, the bus driver invited the dogs inside her bus while she called the police to inform them about her finding.
As seen in the Milwaukee County Transit System footage, the woman was waiting patiently and playing with the two dogs while waiting for help to arrive.
Later on, the dogs were taken to the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission where rescuers found out that the animals belonged to a family located just two and a half miles away from where the bus driver picked them up.
According to the reports, the family had been searching for the missing pooches the entire night after they escaped from their yard.
“It turns out that the dogs had somehow gotten out of their family’s yard two-and-a-half miles away from where Jamie found them.
Jamie, an avid animal lover who jokes that she’s a ‘dog whisperer,’ said she is happy she was in the right place at the right time to help the two ‘very good boys,’” MCTS officials shared.
As they explained, the family was extremely grateful not only to Jaime but also to the police and the animal rescue service for helping them get reunited with their dogs just days before Christmas.
