While talking on the late night episode of Busy Tonight show, the 39-year-old host, Busy Philipps started sharing about her abortion experience when she got to know about Georgia’s controversial abortion law.
She said that she wants to speak about something and really hopes that whatever each person holds as their belief in mind in- spite of that they’ll be open enough to understand what she has to say.
Recently, the governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp stated a law which bans abortion after six weeks of pregnancy. As per doctors, it is the time when the heartbeat of the little one can be felt and also this is the time when women start understanding the pregnancy.
It feels like Philipps has different opinions on the new law as she thinks that the women and their doctors should only take the decision of abortion. She thinks that nobody else should make this decision for them or ask them to do otherwise.
Philipps feel that making a law for abortion doesn’t make sense as it will not make a difference on a person’s choice, but such laws can put women at risk because no women would want any interference or judgment about their bodies.
Every woman on this planet deserves care and compassion, and this law wouldn’t justify that.
She was slowly starting sharing her experience of having an abortion when she was 15 years old. She shared that her only intention to talk about this experience is because she is anxious for the girls and women all over the world.
We all are aware of how women are judged about their personal decisions which are not fair to them because they have all the right to do whatever they feel is right for them and their bodies.
After the show was over Philipps shared her view on Twitter too by saying that she cannot sit and see people taking away women’s right and that’s the reason she shared about her abortion. Sometimes it’s important to share a personal experience if you want to convey a more significant message.
