The Department of Public Health of North Florida’s University conducted a study on how living with flowers can impact the health of the people.
The result of the study concluded that living with flowers, indeed, can alleviate daily stress.
At times people just pick up flowers from a flower shop from based on their impulse as they get in contact with the fragrance of aromatic flowers but they do not have habit of bringing the cut flowers daily for the home.
The Ph. D holder and the lead researcher of this research, Erin Largo Wright said that people have now started to pay attention towards environmental designing because they now understand how it can impact their health positively.
The researcher added that not only it is scientifically proven that adding natural elements contribute to one’s well being but intuitively we all have come in terms with the benefits of these natural elements.
This particular study was conducted over 170 women, and their stress levels were monitored during the period of 12 days. The ladies were offered three options to choose from on the fifth day.
The first one was of cut flowers, the second one was a luxury candle, and the third option included nothing.
By the end of the 12 days, it was observed that women who received flowers saw a positive change in their moods and were feeling less stressful than usual.
Placing flowers inside the home is no less than any kind of aromatherapy. The fragrance of fresh flowers can light up anybody’s mood and spirits.
