A California based company that sells organic soap for babies accidentally offered a promo code $75 off its products and the news spread on social media like a wildfire.
Parents realized that they can order $75 worth of stuff and just pay for shipping. On Monday, a spokesperson for California Baby told BuzzFeed News that a “glitch in our system caused a certain amount of invalid orders to be processed” over the weekend.
Well, mothers didn’t miss a chance to take advantage and one mother named Logan Schofner of Richmond, Virginia told Buzzfeed News that she got to know about the code from Facebook mom groups she is a member of.
Some of her friends also shared the code on their own accounts. She revealed that she ordered five different products using the code and paid around $6 only.

Her order was confirmed by the company and she paid shipping charges from her PayPal account, according to her.
Another mother named Morgan told Buzzfeed News that she ordered five products for her three kids for $1.94 only.
A mother named Cassandra also got the news of promo code through “Baby and Me” Facebook page and she ordered six products for $10. She told Buzzfeed News that her son has eczema and some other mothers advised her to try the line.
All the mothers who ordered using promo code told Buzzfeed News that their order was proceeding without any issues. The spokesperson said that all the orders which are made between Friday and Monday would be refunded, adding “credit card information was not compromised in any way.”
“The problem has been identified and has been corrected. We thank our loyal customers for their consideration,” they said.
The company’s founder and CEO, Jessica Iclisoy was asked about it and she said the code was “illegitimate.”
“If you would like to get a legit code, sign up for our newsletter to participate in our referral program to earn a legit code. Thank you,” she told a customer on Instagram.
