In a bizarre video below, we can see a 3-year-old Mexican girl repeatedly calling the priest who was trying to baptize her a ‘puto’ which means ‘male whore’ in Spanish.
At the beginning of the process, the parents are seen smiling as they are holding their toddler, Magdelana, over the church font.
Then, as the priest proceeds to pour holy water over the 3-year-old’s head, she begins to resist and give him a piece of her mind.
“I baptize you in the name of the son, and the father…” the priest said. That’s when, just like what happens in low-budget horror movies, Magdelana started struggling and swearing at the priest.
“Puto… Puto!” she repeatedly called the priest. Puto is a very offensive Spanish word for ‘male whore.’
At first, her parents seem shocked and try to laugh it off. After repeatedly hearing the bad word, however, they get upset at the girl and cover her mouth with their hands.
Despite the toddler’s unusual reaction, the priest laughed and said: “I think she’s calling me some rude words.”
He then resumed the christening by saying “I am the Father…” The kid, however, continued to interrupt him by shouting: “leave me alone you whore!”
While her parents did their best to calm their child and prevent her from saying harsh words, Magdelana didn’t seem to back off until the ceremony was over.
After the baptizing, the mother approached the priest and apologized for everything that happened.
Soon after, the video was published on numerous social media platforms and was viewed more than 3 million times.
While some people praised the girl’s ‘fighting’ spirit, others called her an evil child. Some users also said that it’s parents’ fault for teaching her bad words.
