During the live performance at NRG Stadium in Houston, the crowd was seen to be overjoyed to see their favorites perform in spite of the steep steps and crowded rows.
It was on the 16th day of March this year when Thomas Harwell along with his wife Shayla Harwell and their daughter who was two years of age were here to enjoy the concert where Brad Paisley performed on the stage at the Houston Livestock Rodeo and show. This was when they noticed another family who tried to make it downstairs.
Among the members of this family were an elderly woman, her daughter, and her two small granddaughters. It was a trouble for the elderly woman to navigate through the steps and this is when Shayla realize that Thomas Harwell, her husband was ready to help the family.
The elderly woman had a hard time seeing which Shayla told her husband to help her, as stated by Shayla.
According to the survey of to KTRK-TV, the elderly woman was suffering from cancer and had also had a stroke attack recently. In no time, Thomas ran towards the rescue and helped the elderly woman to walk downstairs and assured her that he would come back once the concert is over.
Thomas worked as a firefighter with Hardin Volunteer Fire Department which is located approximately 50 miles from the city of Houston, and he was working there for the last 15 years.
Thomas mentioned in his statements that he had helped her to move downstairs and was willing to help until she reached upstairs. As soon as the concert was finished, Thomas picked up the elderly woman and went to the top of the stadium on seeing which Shayla felt proud of her husband.
This was the time when an image was clicked by Shayla of her husband carrying the elderly woman upstairs. Later the image was posted online on the social platform which gained a lot of attention from her family, relatives, and friends.
