Conservative commentator Candace Owens has revealed she is considering running for President.
Moments before launching an attack on “spineless” Republicans, the 31-year-old critic, who became a mother in January, hinted that she could run for US President in the near future.
“I love America. Thinking about running for President,” she wrote in her post.
Though she didn’t elaborate on her viral announcement, Owens later went on a fiery tirade against Republicans who refuse to stand up to Democrats.
“For any conservatives who do not have the courage to admit this and are capitulating to the sweeping acts that are being committed against citizens -including President Trump – you will come to regret such spinelessness,” the right-wing activist wrote as she urged people to “speak up.”
“This is an important time in our country.”
She added:
“Every good dictator needs a ‘reason’ and a ‘justification’ for locking up, censoring, and criminalizing all acts of political dissent. That is why I will #NeverForgetJanury6th. Because it’s become a justification for evil against half our country who remain innocent.
“If you’re smarter than a 5th grader, you realize that the radical Left is trying to brainwash the world into believing January 6th was similar to 9/11 or Pearl Harbor. Absurd. Just a sloppy attempt to justify censoring, surveilling & treating half our country like terrorists.”
Owens, who rose to fame during the 45th president’s term, has long been a faithful Trump supporter who had his back through ups and downs.
The 31-year-old, who could potentially run for the 47th US president in 2024 when she turns 35, previously took aim at several left-wing celebrities including Harry Styles, whom she criticized for wearing a dress in a Vogue photoshoot, and Cardi B, whom she called “illiterate.”
Recently, the controversial commentator also lashed out at NY Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after the Democrat insisted Republicans would be left crying if they had to work at a restaurant.
Responding to AOC, Owens wrote: “I used to be a waitress and I worked multiple doubles. I am laughing out loud at how much of a coastal elitist you have to be to view that as the definition of a hard day at work. Please get on a plane and see the rest of the world (or country) you spoiled rotten brat.”
