Cardi B surely won the award for the most massive train at the 2019 Met Gala. The rapper posed on the red carpet in a huge quilted and feathered gown by Thom Browne. And the dress needs a team of handlers to make its way down the red carpet.
The 26-year-old superstar’s dress had beaded nipples on her red ensemble, which cinched in over her belly before spreading out into a gargantuan round train.
Her huge dress was made of a thickly quilted burgundy fabric, which had stitching in concentric circles. Cardi’s shoulders were covered in feathers and her headpiece was also feathery.
Glittering crimson beads covered her neck, matching a beaded vertical strip over her crotch and an upside-down heart over her derriere.
Five black-suited men helped her to manage her feather-trimmed train as she made her way around the pink carpet.
Her husband Offset, the father of her daughter Kulture, tweeted of Cardi’s outfit: ‘WIFEY IS THE TRUTH SHE JUST KILLED THE MET GALA THAT DRESS IS WOW !!!!!’
She admitted to Entertainment Weekly that she had gotten surgery on her breasts after delivering Kulture last year.
‘I just got my boobs redone,’ said the Bronx-born former stripper, quipping that ‘My daughter f***ed me up. She did! She sure did.’
This was Cardi’s second Met Gala appearance. Last year, she attended the annual fashion event for the first time and she was pregnant with her daughter Kulture. She donned a Catholic-inspired bejeweled gown for the gala’s “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” theme at First Met Gala red carpet.
