‘You guys are the reason we get to do what we get to do,’ the 36-year-old singer said in a remote broadcast portion of her show at the award ceremony. ‘And at the end of the day, it all comes down to you coming to our shows and listening to our music.’

The Little Toy Guns singer was unable to be at the CMT show at Schermerhorn Symphony Center in her native Nashville, as she’s currently amid her Cry Pretty Tour 360.

The mom-of-two, to sons, Isaiah, four, and Jacob, eight months, with her husband Mike Fisher, 39, took to the stage in a black ensemble with long sleeves and a gold sequined skirt. She had her long blonde locks down and wore a choker and dangling earrings.

The CMT Artists of the Year ceremony was an emotional night, as honoree Kane Brown dedicated his honors to his late drummer Kenny Dixon, who died in a car accident this past Saturday.

‘He started with me coming out of Chattanooga,’ Brown, 25, said of his late band mate. ‘He was with me the whole time. He was so supportive of me. And I love you, man, I miss you. The band misses you.’
