The staff at the cooperative funeral care says that paddy knows that when he has to come and always comes at the right time to console the dejected families. He must have a sixth sense and they have named him the mourning moggy.

A lady named Jan McKinnon met who is 64 years old met paddy and she lost her daughter to breast cancer. She says that she is a Vet nurse and so was her daughter Mel. She was praying at her daughter’s grave and paddy came near to her. Jan says that is not a regular morbid as normally funerals are but paddy converted it into a laughter therapy.

Mel wanted to adopt a ginger tomcat and now that cat wanders around her grave. Mel was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and now her mother Jane is diagnosed with breast cancer. They always do everything the same as Mel was an actor but turned into a Vet nurse like her mother and it became humorous that they both are peas of the same pod.

At first his owners thought that he has gone missing but later on, when they got to know about her routine they felt satisfied as to how he console the dejected ones and till now he as attended 100 funerals. He is named as Chief Moggy Mourner. The funeral arranger for the cop op Carol Paton says that “Paddy is a special cat”
