We sometimes wonder how our pets would react if there was an addition in the family.
This story of Panda and Liel will perfectly relieve you from such worries!
As a rescue cat, Panda was adopted by Liel when she was little.
This adorable tuxedo cat and Liel clicked instantly, and did everything together.
But then, Liel got pregnant. Even though animals offer great companionships to humans, some people assume that they pose danger to the newborn child. Not only that, many people think that cats bring bad luck. However, Liel did not believe in any of this. So, she continued to spend time with her favorite companion – Panda. When Liel’s belly started to grow, though, Panda seemed to notice the change.

Surprisingly, Panda was very interested in Liel’s belly. Whenever she could get a chance, Panda would snuggle with Liel and lay on top of her belly.
While this was amusing, Liel was a bit worried. What will happen when Liel actually gives birth to her baby? She didn’t know how Panda would react. Would Panda become jealous of the baby? Would she understands that this baby is not going anywhere?
Three months after Liel gave birth to her son Sean, she uploaded new photos of the new family dynamic – and these pictures are just adorable.
Fortunately, it turned out that Panda had been guarding the baby for 9 months during Liel’s pregnancy. Just as she laid on top of Liel’s belly, Panda started to devote her attention solely on Sean.
Since Liel wouldn’t let Panda into the crib, Panda always sits nearby the crib and watches Sean at all times.
“Every time I put the baby in the crib, I can see lots of cat fur all over the bed,” says Liel.

Liel also added that “cats and dogs are great companions for kids, and they can learn so much from them. I saw people giving up on their pets once there is a baby in the family, because they’re afraid the pet will hurt the baby.
I wish people will stop doing that!”.
Hopefully, reading about Panda will change their minds.
