Victor has been an exceptionally sociable cat, and nothing seems to bother him.

The cat has been incredibly outgoing and not much fazes him.

He follows his mom wherever it goes and instantly will fell in love with every stranger he meets, but despite his confidence, he does have one big and very strange fear.

When he was just a baby kitten, his mother discovered that the one thing he hates the most is the “Tangerine fruit”

In the interview on The Dodo, Irene Olocco Victor’s mom told: “We were together on the couch, I grabbed a tangerine and, as I began to peel it, he hissed and ran away.”

Based on Olocco observation all the similar orange fruits were Victor’s vice, and he absolutely wouldn’t go near them. Since he has always been a little stubborn, especially when it comes to “house rules” his mother decided to use this new Kryptonite to her advantage.

Olocco said: “I began to put oranges or tangerines on the furniture where I didn’t want him to climb on and it worked.”

“Don’t ruin the Christmas tree” is one of the house’s rules Victor has always enjoyed breaking.

Every year, he steals Christmas balls from the tree and ruins numerous ornaments and other decorations, and his mother could never figure out how to keep him away – until she had the finest idea.

“I was sick of yelling at him to not touch the balls,” Olocco explained. “In the middle of the morning, I decided to eat a tangerine when the brilliant inspiration came to my head…. It worked right away.”

Olocco created a tangerine force field around the tree, and Victor refused to pass through it. He despises tangerines almost as much as he despises Christmas trees.

Thanks to his unusual fear of tangerines, Olocco’s tree is now protected, and it appears that surrounding the tree with it will become a new yearly ritual.
