Chick-fil-A has always been under the crosshairs of the Left due to the religious views held by the chain’s owners.
But whatever the company’s religious views, it seems their management style manages to bring out the best in its employees.
This was most recently demonstrated at the company’s East Ridge, Tennessee branch when the restaurant’s employees helped change out the flat tire of a customer whose truck was stuck in the drive-thru lane.
While employees from most other companies may just be content to push the vehicle out of the way and let AAA take care of the rest while they returned to their duties, the Chick-fil-A crew not only changed the tire, they also replaced his order, which had gone cold, with fresh, hot food, and even included two cookies, for free.
The customer, Brian Hall, who is also a worship leader, praised the employees on Facebook, calling them “saints” as he wrote: “Bunch of saints over at the chickfila in east ridge! My tire somehow went flat in the drive through so they rushed out to replace it for me with their hydraulic Jack,” he said.
“They brought my food out to me then after it was done replaced my food with new fresh food so it wouldn’t be cold and put two cookies in there for free! Those people are truly doing the Lord’s work over there!”
Hall told Fox News that their dedication to customer service was on another level because they told him to just sit back and relax while they changed his tire.
“They rushed out when they saw what happened and wouldn’t let me do a thing,” he said. “I am a carpenter and work with my hands a lot, so it was a little funny letting other people do that for me, but they insisted.
“Their kindness was overwhelming in the middle of a somewhat awkward situation,” he continued. “They truly went above and beyond to be Christ-like. And they didn’t even know I am a worship leader because with all of my tattoos I definitely don’t look like one.”
The inspiring incident happened even as Chick-fil-A has been faced with a rash of discriminatory actions across the country because of the biblical worldview on human sexuality that is held by the restaurant chain’s founder.
For instance, just this year, two major airports (Buffalo and San Antonio) banned the company.
Several universities also banned the chain from opening branches in their campuses with one dean at Rider University even resigning because of the university’s decision to ban the chain. It even got to the point that the Texas House passed a “Save Chick-fil-A” bill to stop San Antonio Airport and other venues in the state from keeping the restaurant out.
But the opposition hasn’t affected the company’s growth as it has become the third-biggest fast-food chain in the US, earning $10.2 billion in sales. It also managed to double the number of its locations since 2007.
One thing is for sure, the East Ridge incident was no fluke as there have been several recorded incidents of Chick-fil-A employees doing the right thing like running after patrons who forgot their order, or one branch opening on Sunday to serve first responders, and even one branch in Orlando feeding the Pulse Nightclub victims.
