Parents are the greatest sacrifices in the world. Without any thought, parents would jump into the fire for their kids. This selfless nature of parents put them next to God.
One such story of a navy mother went viral. Pennsylvania resident Serena Gonzalez is a machinist’s partner in the navy. She is currently living in San Diego, California.
Ariella, her 3-year-old-daughter, is taken care of by her uncle, Billy Cruz back at his resident on the east coast.
Both of them miss each other every day, but they are unable to meet due to Serena’s circumstances. Serena has reenlisted for 6 years in navy in hopes that she could give her daughter her post-9/11 bill.
This bill pays for veterans’ education expenses. But the reason Serena is doing it is that these benefits are transferrable to their child after serving the post for 10 years.
Basically, Serena wants to give her daughter the gift to attend any college of her choice in the future. This future prospect is the reason Serena has convinced herself into this service, leaving her such a young daughter.
As both of them miss each other so much, Ariella’s uncle made a decision to fly across the nation with her. This was going to be a big surprise for Serena.
Upon their arrival in San Diego, they went straight to Serena’s friend’s house, where Serena was staying for the night. As they entered, they saw Serena sleeping on the floor as her friend was in the moving process.
As her friend recorded, Billy gently woke her up. It might have seemed like a dream to her because she smiles and closes her eyes again. But her senses kick in and she realizes it is her daughter standing in front of her. Unable to control her emotions, Serena hugs her daughter tightly as tears of happiness roll down her face.
We are pretty sure she had the best surprise of her life that morning.
