Giant Fish Follows Diver Around to Get A Rub On the Chin


The fish you can see in the video is a Grouper fish.

And the most unique thing about the species is that it tends to go around in a group to get the prey. They are predators and catching prey takes effort.

They tend to go in groups but this does not make it vital for being in a group of their own species. These fishes can go around with other fishes too and for that matter, they can even go around with human groups.

By going around with humans, it makes them feel secure because they would not get preyed on and getting their prey also gets a bit easier too in the same.

Another unique thing about the species is that they remember the creatures. Yes, they remember every individual differently. They are also very friendly and likes being around humans.

This particular fish that is in the video is named Gary by the people who often see her in the region as she is so friendly that she always comes around to greet humans.

Dave decided to get out and dive and so he went. He was in the water when he saw Gary and Gary instantly liked Dave.

Gary started following Dave around everywhere he was going and after a while, Dave decided to reciprocate the love and affection this giant fish was looking for.

While the fish was floating close to him, Dave extended his hand for her. Gary came forward and sniffed him a little and made sure he was safe. After getting he was safe, she let him touch her. Dave then gave a little rub on its chin and Apparently Gary loved it.

She kept coming back for it again and again. After 6 to 7 times, Dave decided to record it on video so that the world can see it too.
