The man who killed his pregnant wife and two children has been receiving love letters in prison.
35-year-old Chris Watts received five life sentences for taking the lives of his family in 2018.
The disturbing story has become the subject of a Netflix documentary titled American Murder: The Family Next Door.
But for some reason, Watts has been receiving love letters from women who actually found him attractive.
A source told People: “He got a lot of letters at first. Many of them are from women who thought he was handsome and felt compassion for him.
“He had nothing better to do, so he wrote them back. And he started having penpals. A couple of them stood out, and they’ve kept in contact.”
The source added: “Believe it or not, no. They have compassion on him, despite what he did.”
Watts reportedly strangled his pregnant wife, Shannan, in their home in Colorado. He disposed of her remains before smothering his children – Celeste, 3, and Bella, 4.
According to authorities, the father committed the murders as he was having an affair with a co-worker.
One person commented: “I’m sorry but if you’re looking in prison at a MURDER for a love connection then you need a PSYCH WARD!!!!”
Another wrote: “Only an evil person could do such a thing to innocent children.. If he doesn’t want responsibility he could just leave his kids to their grandparents.. Not to kill them.”
A third added: “People writing those love letters are sick!! He’s a monster and for someone to look at him with love, has mental issues.”
