Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have announced they have lost their baby boy, Jack, days after the 34-year-old model was rushed to the hospital after suffering heavy bleeding.
“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before,” the TV personality wrote in her Instagram post.
“We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”
As the celebrity couple added in their message, they are grateful to their fans and supporters for all of their support and prayers.
“To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you,” Chrissy added.
“We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience. But everyday can’t be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it.”
The tragic passing follows just days after Chrissy was rushed to the hospital after suffering excessive bleeding.
As the 34-year-old revealed at the time, her placenta was very weak and she kept on bleeding heavily as if someone turned “a faucet on to low and leave it there.”
“I’m so excited for him, because he’s so wonderful and just the strongest little dude – so I can’t wait for him. But he’s like the strongest dude in the shi**iest house,” Chrissy said days prior to baby Jack’s death.
May he rest in peace. Sending prayers for the family.
