Chrissy Teigen has revealed in a series of tweets that their family pet Peanut Butter died.
The 35-year-old Utah-born star wrote on Tuesday: “Oh, peanut butter the hamster died,” then added, “but do not fret.”
She shared a short video of Christmas stockings, with one the name ‘New P Butter’ on it.
Teigen, who endured a heartbreaking miscarriage in September, added in a second tweet: “That is the name, don’t attack me!”
The model revealed that the hamster died a few weeks ago but she only shared it now. “It hurts like it happened today but it happened uhhhh not today, I dunno I forget lmao,” she wrote.
After a fan offered condolences to Teigen’s 4-year-old daughter, Luna Simone, the cookbook author replied: “She is okay. we are very open about life and death in the house and it was all good teachable moments, especially since she still asks about baby and stuff <3”
Legend and Teigen added the first Peanut Butter hamster to their family in March 2019. The cute animal’s death comes months after she announced that they welcomed pet birds Aladdin and Jasmine.
The family’s recent pet addition was a bearded dragon, which they bought for son Miles’ second birthday.
The couple also have French bulldogs Pippa and Penny, bulldog Pepper, and poodle Petey.
The mother-of-two revealed that she is working harder to “pause and pay attention” to her children. In another Instagram photo, she can be seen sitting on the kitchen floor with little Luna.
“One thing I have gotten very good at is knowing every single moment they want you to pause and pay attention to them is very important to them so you just gotta make it a moment because it’s just a moment but it’s THEIR MOMENT, you know?” Teigen captioned the photo.
