Usage of drugs is prohibited around the world and is treated as a serious offense.
Despite that, the trade of smuggling drugs is on the top of charts of illegal smuggling and around the year, the authorities are able to catch several consignments of drugs.
While there is extreme security for the airways, the same is a little easier to do when it comes to waterways.
In this year alone, in many parts of the world, people have found out packets of cocaine washed off at the beach. And the same has happened yet again.
Just in a week’s time, the authorities have found about 760kg (1,657lb) of cocaine washed off at the beaches in southwest France.
The packets that were found had been estimated to be worth £52 million (€60m). The packets were found scattered on many beaches including Capbreton and Le Porge.
The packets of cocaine were covered in thick plastic sheets that protected the stuff from getting all wet. The material that should have gone down in the lap of the ocean, fortunately, came out on the beaches.
As the packets were found, the police of the region have launched a complaint against the case to carry out an investigation and find the origin point of the packets that have been found. It is vital to know here did the packets come from.
The police have also issued a statement saying that anyone seen touching the packages or people whose fingerprints are found on the packets, even if they have touched the packets after they washed off to the beach, may get 10 years of jail time and they are defiantly coming under suspicion.
They have also said that if anyone finds any suspicious packet, they are suggested not to touch it anymore.
