Two cockatoos were recently caught partying in a parking lot of a small town.

It was a real eye-catcher when Max and Q banded together for a ‘parrot party’ in a car park in Bragg Creek. A number of people gathered at the site to witness the two Moluccan Cockatoos interacting in a jolly mood by vocalizing their emotions.

The two parrots looked as if they were two friends who had met each other after a long time and decided to throw a party to celebrate their happy reunion.

The scene was a real delight for the spectators who gathered around them in a large number.

Almost everyone was filming the ‘parrot party’ on their cellphone cameras. And why not, it is obviously not a common thing to see a cockatoo couple having a play date in a random parking lot.

In a now-viral clip of the incident, Max, the male, can be seen getting overwhelmingly excited at just the sight of the younger female. He tries to impress his female friend by making louder and louder voices.

By breed, Max is the original Moluccan Cockatoo as can be seen from its characteristic Bok in the video clip. It is quite a scene to witness a 25-year-old male cockatoo having an attitude larger than himself.

Max believes that every single human is ridiculous with no exception, every time of the day is the snack time, and that the whole universe revolves around him.

Max had quite an adventurous life, which was challenging as well.

At the age of 10 years, he was rescued from the basement of a home and has since undergone extensive behavioral changes.

Thankfully, he is now living a happy life with a loving owner.

On his days out, Max loves hanging out with a 23-year-old African Grey Parrot named Tycho (Tycho is not quite a fan of cameras though).

Max also loves spending time with Tikal, a 44-year-old African parrot who says hello to anyone he sees, and his owner, who has no feathers for quite obvious reasons.

The average life expectancy of a Moluccan Cockatoo, also called Salmon-crested Cockatoo and biologically known as Cacatua Moluccensis, is around 60 to 80 years.

Prominent marks of recognition of this species include their characteristic peach color and a bright-Salmon colored crest which makes them stand out among other birds.

And just like the case with all other parrots, they too need a lot of care and attention from their owners to flourish and thrive.
