She then woke up with a wonderful baby.

The teen initially suffered from a slipping headache last year. But when she experienced a series of seizures, she was immediately taken to hospital and doctors had to put her into a coma.

Ebony woke up to discover she had already given birth to beautiful Elodie.

‘Waking up from a coma to be told I had been pregnant and had given birth to a baby girl was overwhelming to say the least,’ Ebony told the Star.

‘Meeting my baby was so surreal. It felt like an out of body experience. I didn’t think I even wanted kids – at least not for another ten years – and I never expected to be a young mum.’

Doctors found out Ebody had uterus didelphys, a rare condition where the person has two uteruses.

Her baby had grown unnoticed in the one towards the mother’s back. This condition affects one in 3,000 women. This is also the reason why Ebony had regular periods without being aware of her pregnancy.

‘The doctors said that Elodie was a miracle baby as women with my condition often struggle to conceive or carry to full-term,’ Ebony said.

When Ebony’s mother, Sheree, realized her daughter was severely ill, she contacted emergency services and was asked if the teen was pregnant because the bump suddenly appeared but Sheree said no.

The paramedics believed seizures caused the baby to move and made the bump visible. Tests revealed she had suffered from pre-eclampsia and doctors had to deliver the baby as soon as possible.

Elodie was born three hours after Ebony’s first seizure.

Ebony’s grandmother, Geraldine, and Sheree first looked after the baby for four days while Ebony was in a coma.

‘Although I had no time to prepare, I wouldn’t change what has happened for the world,’ Ebony expressed.

Welcome to the world, Elodie!
