So here we are with something that can easily replace your comfort food and no my friend, you will not get tired of eating it.
Onions with amazing flavors are something no one would say no to. Right? Well, we paired it with the greatest thing in the world which is the comfort food for almost everyone in this whole wide world, cheese.
Yes, we made a sandwich with the great taste of caramelized onions and cheese. What can be a better combination then cheese and onion any way? So don’t waste your time and run to your kitchen because we have the recipe right here for you.
French onion grilled cheese recipe.
Step one – Cover the pan with nonstick spray and place it on the stove. Put 4 slices of bread on the pan and keep the flame low.
Step two – Now take the caramelized onions out and top them on the bread slices. Then top the bread slices with a thick layer of cheese. Now sprinkle some thyme on the top of the cheese.
Step three – Keep the flame on medium when until the bread is a little toasted and the cheese starts to melt. Then place another slice of bread on the top of it.
Step four – Now turn the sandwich upside down to toast the other slice of bread as well.
The sandwich is now ready. Serve it with freshly made cheese sauce, tomato ketchup or anything you would like. Take a coke to add to the fun. Your comfort food is now ready to cheer you up.
