We always believe that models live on salads only, but the model and competitive eater Nela Zisser can eat 22 Big Macs in under an hour, despite only weighing 55kg.
Nela, from New Zealand, has taken part in the competition since the age of 21 after entering a pizza-eating contest because her mom thought she would do well.
Nela was surprised after winning against ’19 big dudes’, and that win gave her the confidence to try more competitions.
Since then Nela has shared her powerful eating skills on YouTube, she took on challenges such as a 1kg burrito and an impressive 10,000 calorie English breakfast.
Her breakfast belly-busting challenge grabbed the attention of the media in 2016 after she managed to consume 20 eggs, a kilogram of bacon fried in butter, six sausages, four muffins and mushrooms cooked in cream in 42 minutes.
Nela has also recorded herself eating 22 Big Macs in under an hour, with 12,386 calories and nearly one kilogram of meat.
But Nela’s talent is not limited to YouTube, she often travels to the world to take part in the competitions.
She’s competed in the much-hyped Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Championships in New York, where she got seventh place.
The most popular question people asked the medical student regularly is how she stays so slim, despite the excessive amounts of food she consumes.
Nela said: “I go to the gym five days a week, and I do intermittent fasting. I only eat one or two meals a day.
“Not all my challenges are unhealthy either. Last week I ate half a kilo of raw broccoli.”
She said, some of her food challenges leave her feeling sick for a day, while others don’t make any problems at all.
She explained: “Meat tends to fill me way more than carbs or vegetables. So, if it is a meat-heavy challenge, I may feel under the weather for a while.”
