Feeling of being abandoned by someone is devastating.
It is hard to overcome the break up with a lover, the end of a relationship with friends, and being fired from the company you worked for years.
Imagine how a child would feel after being abandoned by his or her parents.
Neglected by drug addicted parents, Taylor and his two sisters entered the foster system in 2003.
However, Taylor’s adoptive parents decided to give him back because he had an anger issue.
Taylor said, “It was always somewhat my fault, but I didn’t realize that, you know, when I was growing up.”
His social worker Connie, who has found homes for more than 1,000 foster kids, tried 10 years to find Taylor’s family.
“Every child is adoptable. There’s a family for every child,” Connie said.

But it was hard to find a home for Taylor. “I was just so mad because I thought that they weren’t going to keep me,” Taylor said. “I was just trying to test them.”
Connie became physically sick because she was so upset about not being able to find Taylor a family.
However, she did not give up on him. She said, “All I could think about was how he was feeling and how he was blaming himself, again.”
Then, she found the perfect home for Taylor. She processed the paperwork to adopt Taylor on the next day.
After 10 years of searching for Taylor’s home, Connie finally realized that she is the family that she was looking for.

It wasn’t easy to adopt Taylor; the adoption process is a very long and difficult journey. Just ask the parents who adopted their daughter from China.
Nonetheless, Connie didn’t give up on Taylor, and finally, Taylor found the place where he belongs. He said, “she [Connie] knows my worst side and she still cares about me and still loves me.”
