It was the wee hours of morning, before the sunrise.
Patrick Hennessey was driving down to his job in Orange County, FL. It seemed like a normal morning, but then Patrick saw some mysterious shapes in the middle of the road.
When Patrick slowed his vehicle down he was able to get a better look at the cowering shapes. It turns out that they were two dogs, sitting in the middle of the road. One appeared to be injured and bleeding with the other sitting close to side, refusing to leave.
Patrick called the police immediately so they could get the help they needed.
Not too long after two police officers arrived. Deputy Reed and Deputy Boggs from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office then saw the two dogs. Initially, the dogs were nervous but not did show any signs of aggression. The two police officers approached cautiously as to not alarm the two dogs. That was when the police officers realized the two dogs were pitbulls. The officers were on their toes because they did not know why the dogs were bleeding or if they were aggressive.

Unfortunately, pitbulls suffer from a stereotype of being very aggressive and dangerous animals even though they can be incredibly sweet and loving animals. Due to this stereotype they are often passed over in shelters, even though they can still be loving additions to any family.
Fortunately, the police officers knew what they were doing and exercised extreme caution for both their own safety and the animals’ safety.
The two police officer were able to move the two pitbulls off of the road once they realized the two dogs were not aggressive. That’s when they realized that the dogs needed some comfort, badly.
The two police officers, with hearts of gold, happily agreed as they hugged the two dogs.
The dogs looked happy to be hugged and even leaned into the officers. We’re not sure what happened to these animals and how the two ended up in the middle of the road, but one thing is certain – these two sweet dogs did not deserve it.

While they were hugging, the officers were able to apply gauze bandages to the bleeding dog’s injured leg, stopping the bleeding until more help could arrive.
Both dogs had collars suggesting that they either ran away from home or were possibly intentionally abandoned.
