A police officer has been caught pulling over his two little kids in adorable footage.
Officer Kenny Bowman from Roanoke, Virginia, was filmed stopping his 4-year-old son, Blake, and 6-year-old daughter, Rylee, while they were riding in their plastic toy car outside their home.
In the heartwarming video, Bowman dressed in his full uniform can be seen stopping their pink jeep and demanding the driving license from them.
After he has successfully interrupted their ride, the cop dad formally asks them: “Hello, do you guys know why I pulled you over today?”
“Because you’re too cute,” little Rylee tries to catch him off guard.
“What?” the cop says. “You think you are a bunch of wise guys? Why aren’t you buckled up?”
To this, the little girl quickly replies: “None of your business.”
Both of them seem to be determined that it is going to go their way.
“Let’s see your driver’s license!” the cop dad counter attacks.
Hearing it, she quickly tells her brother: “He has no backup. Floor it!”
In the blink of an eye, little Blake starts pedaling the car and makes way down the hill with their cop dad running after their little jeep.
At last, the adorable kids are caught by the cop!
The game is then repeated but this time, it is the girl who drives the jeep and her brother calls the shots.
But things don’t go as the officer had planned them to go.
Bowman had not expected to receive such an overwhelming response for the video. “I didn’t realize that it would touch so many people from so many different countries in so many different ways,” he told Daily Mail.
Speaking to the WDBJ news channel, he said the video shows “the other side of the badge” and reminds people that cops have families too.
He said: “I just came home from work one day in uniform, got out of the car, saw my kids were playing with their power wheel, and thought it would be cute to do a little video.”
