We civilians enjoy our days and night in full realm but law enforcement is not provided with such perks they do not get holidays not only on customary days but on their wedding days as well.
John O’ Rourke from Indiana police officer was called to duty just before his wedding as later by morning he was going to walk down the aisle.
Just before the ceremony O’ Rourke thought to have breakfast so he stopped at Donuts to go as that was the easy go thing to eat as he was in a hurry. In that place, he had to perform his duty even being an off-duty-cop.
While he was waiting for donuts in the queue when he heard a loud turmoil that was going on in the dining area. He found it to be a little girl of three years old who had a convulsion.
He noticed that no one has called the paramedics till that moment, he advised the ones who were looking at the scene to call 911. He himself started giving medical assistance to the little girl.
O’ Rourke provided her with rescue breathing and chest compressions as an emergency service. After his medical procedures, the little girl got her consciousness back after which the emergency service arrived. Thanks to O’ Rourke.
In an online statement O,’ Rourke said that I went to my car and sat there for about 20 minutes to regain my senses.
As he went to a donut shop and overwrought saving a life on which he received a free box of donut from the shop. It seemed hilarious that had it to be a donut shop?
After this episode, he along with his fiancée Virginia walked down the aisle. His friends came to know about this happening. But they were not shocked as they knew O’ Rourke is always available when someone needs him. Now he is being praised.
Someone left a comment on Facebook that he ‘should have gone too long donuts’ But the parents of that little girl might be obliged that he did not visit that.
