In recent news, Daunte Wright, 20, unfortunately has passed away by a ‘senior’ female police officer’s gun.
Bodycam footage reveals that she had yelled “taser!” several times before drawing the weapon that she had on her, firing it at the man.
Sources state that the place of death of Wright is near the same spot that George Floyd has passed away last year, and it sparked “violent protests less than 10 miles” from where it was located.
Wright was shot dead on Sunday afternoon after being pulled over for an alleged expired car registration. Once at the scene, police revealed details about an outstanding warrant against Wright.
One officer had tried to handcuff him before he jumped back inside the car, but then a struggle broke out between the officers and Wright. After shouting several times for her taser, the female cop shoots him and the body cam reveals her saying, “I shot him–!” after the incident ensued.
Tim Gannon, Brooklyn Center Police Chief, was unaware of another firearm located in Wright’s car. The victim, as shown in the video, could be seen driving off for a bit with his girlfriend, trying to sustain the injuries. His girlfriend had not been facing the same injuries as he was, who was pronounced dead at the scene once he crashed into another car.
Gannon tells sources after releasing the video that it is clear that Mr Wright had been shot with a single bullet, and for “informational purposes we train with our handguns on our dominant side, and our taser on our weak side.point 323 |

Continuing to comment, Gannon discloses the cop’s identity for privacy since the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is still investigating Wright’s case. The only information given to the public is that she is a “very senior officer” and has been placed on administrative duty.
It is also unclear whether or not the cops will be facing charges.
After word spread out, there were protests that had ensued around the area and officers had to interfere with demonstrators on the street. Authorities say that Wright’s car was pulled over for having an expired registration and from his outstanding warrant, he had failed to show up to court and also obtained a gun without a permit.
Gannon keeps the public updated and says that Wright’s mother had called her son moments before he was shot, telling her that the police had pulled him over. He called to get insurance information since the car was given to him by his mother.
His mother tells Wright, “I said when the police officer comes back to the window, put him on the phone and I will give him the insurance information,”
But he was unable to exchange information after his girlfriend saw that “he was laying there lifeless,”
