1980s child star Corey Feldman recently came forward to relay his history with child abuse.
He claimed to have a list of celebrities accused of sexual misconduct. He once filed a complaint with the LAPD years ago, but they were preoccupied with the Michael Jackson scandal. Feldman’s list is now taken with renewed respect.
LA TimesFeldman started a campaign titled #ISTANDWITHCOREY on Twitter to help increase awareness about the issues many child actors struggled with in Hollywood. He also took to the Dr. Oz show to mention his first abuser, who is 80s actor Jon Grissom. Several former child stars like Alyssa Milano and Keith Coogan showed their support to Feldman.
Alyssa Milano, Who’s the Boss and The Canterville Ghost star, posted on Twitter, “I’m sorry anyone ever hurt you. It kills me. Maybe in my attempt to protect myself I was blind what was happening 2u.”
Although she received some backlash for her remarks because she wasn’t a victim of Jon Grissom, Feldman defended the actress by saying, “Please don’t bash @Alyssa_Milano she may not have been a victim of these guys, they liked boys. But a #ISTANDWITHCOREY tweet wouldn’t hurt.”
Keith Coogan, Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead and Adventures in Babysitting star, showed his support by releasing a lengthy statement. “So proud of @Corey_Feldman and his courage in facing his abusers. No child should be forced to deal with that, ever! #ISTANDWITHCOREY.”
Feldman’s first alleged abuser was 80s star Jon Grissom, who starred alongside Corey Haim and Feldman in Dream a Little Dream and License to Drive.
After these accusations, Grissom’s whereabouts are alleged to be in Mexico.
